Barry McGee Fuzz Gathering
Zines
Published on the occasion of the exhibition 2021 at the Perrotin Gallery in Paris, this zine by Barry McGee is a collection of some of the American artist's photographs, collages, throw-ups and drawings. Part of the Californian graffiti scene and known in the graffiti world under the name TWIST, McGee develops his ideas from the streets of the metropolis, a place where heterogeneous ideas and ways of life come together. His works are an outspoken representation of modern society, with a particular empathy for those who identify the street as their home. With his unique visual language, Barry McGee has been able to exhibit in some of the most important museums and institutions, including the Fondazione Prada in Milan, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive in California, and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, to name a few. The zine, which is text-free, is a must-have for all McGee enthusiasts and is especially recommended for those interfacing with his art for the first time.
