Patagonia’s history sounds as incredible as its founder’s one. Disappointed with the lack of equipment for mountain climbing, Yvon Chouinard decides to open his own label in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, where he grew up and trained as mountaineer. After few years spent travelling and producing homemade hardware, Yvon finally launches a Patagonia apparel line for professional climbers. His outdoor clothing looked so different from other gears back then, especially all those Responsibili-tee and coloured sweatshirts, fleeces and more. Now available in a thousand colorways, the Responsibili-tee takes up the skyline of the Fitz Roy mount between Chile and Argentina, dubbed Cherro Chaltén by the natives. By respecting the eco-friendly philosophy of the whole company, the Responsibili-tee iconography proves how everybody could respect nature and dig deep into nature at the same time.
