The classic flight jacket: the Alpha Industries MA-1 was the original jacket for the US Army and Navy in the mid fifties; it's the first military garment to be industrially produced for civilian population in 1970. This TT version is more lightweight than the original one: wool collar, thick zippered closure, two front pockets with button closure, zippered pocket on left sleeve and elastic waist and wristbands.

Tipical flight jacket wearability: it fits short, our advice is to purchase a larger size than your usual.

Which is the best streetwear jacket?

The answer largely depends on how you define “best”, but we can tell that either the peerless functionality of Arc’teryx jackets or Nike outerwear versatility are great starting points. The former is a highly technical outdoor brand and a widely respected specialist of hiking outerwear. For this Canadian manufacturer, performance comes before aesthetics, which must adjust to the technical features of each jacket. Arc’teryx proposal counts shell jackets specifically designed for mountain hiking, featuring a top-tier thermal insulation and a series of minor yet crucial details: adjustable hem, elasticated cuffs, double side pockets, a capable hood to fend off the rain. Of course, Nike’s hallmark lies in the American brand’s all-around approach towards outerwear. The Swoosh jackets offer embraces bomber jackets and waterproof running jackets, sitting right next to puffers and padded parka jackets for winter season.

What is the price of a winter jacket?

Picking the right winter jacket is always a major commitment, but SPECTRUM provides you with a good range of alternative options in terms of style and budget. The price range goes from €100 to €1000 based on textures, treatments, finishing, brands and outerwear category. Our selection encompasses several affordable padded down jackets and chore coast, including models from outdoor giants such as Gramicci, Dickies and Carhartt WIP. On the contrary, Arc’teryx GORE-TEX® hardshells demand a more important investment, as happens with Barbour wax jackets, A.P.C. premium coats and Maharishi military parka jackets. We are talking of exclusive top-of-the-line jackets with lavish detailing: Primaloft inner lining, adjustable hood, GORE-TEX® Infinium coating, fine embroideries, and much more.

What is the price of a North Face jacket?

The price of a North Face jacket depends on the model and on some other elements which include materials, technologies, colorways and the like. The American brand is one of the biggest outerwear manufacturers on earth and The North Face catalog reflects its longtime reputation. TNF mostly produces winter puffers such as the brand’s signature TNF Nuptse jackets, sitting alongside the padded parka jackets of the Himalayan line, pile fleeces and waterproof mountain jackets. Other standout models count mid-season anorak styles with a rainproof coating, windbreakers and some all-around jackets for any necessity.

What is the college jacket called?

Those models worn in USA universities are called varsity jackets and are usually worn by sport college teams – basket, football, volleyball and more. Originally designed for a small niche of athletes, over time varsities have become a true staple of streetwear and casual clothing. And this is also thanks to the major influence of American rap music over pop culture and fashion; rappers were the first to rock varsity and sport-inspired satin jackets off the court, pushing the garment to stardom. Classic varsity jackets include hidden gems from longtime sportswear brands New Era and Mitchell & Ness, two companies that established themselves by producing game jerseys of most famous American sport leagues, including warm-up uniforms and pre-game clothing, and thus varsity jackets. Street brands took over the varsity game during the early ‘00s: Italian street brands Iuter and Doomsday prove this evolution with loud varsities, often decorated with patches and embroideries, while lifestyle brands Tommy Jeans and Levi’s craft minimal, finely-finished college jackets with subtle branding.
