Nike Huarache

Born in 1991 from a brilliant idea of the designer Tinker Hatfield, the Air Huarache borrowed design elements from water-ski boots resulting in a never-seen-before model, later named after historical Mexican sandals. Launched during the 1991 New York marathon, these men’s Nike shoes have never stopped coming up big: the revolutionary neoprene sock-liner is soft and elastic, while a set of bright OG colorways, including the iconic ‘scream green’, make this model a sheer must-have. The upper has undergone lots of changes throughout the years, testing new materials like mesh, synthetic leather, nylon, suede and many more, without touching the iconic embossed plastic ankle strap; tons of different versions for these Nike sneakers, going from the Huarache Utility (water-resistant and equipped with a thick waffle sole) to the Huarache Run Ultra, true to the originals but lightened to be even more effective on the road. Women’s Huarache models are available too, colorful and with creative graphics.
